It irritates me that Tatars always emphasize their differences (geographical, linguistic, ethnic, etc.) whereas most other peoples try to emphasize their unity.
That's where all our difficulties come from: not being united.

On the contrary, we think this list of subtle linguistic differences is rather short. Our response when asked what the difference is between Mishars and Kazan Tatars is "Not much, We're the same people." In Kazan we asked several Kazan Tatars of their opinion of Mishar Tatars and their response was identical. We are the same and understand each other just fine.
