She's Uzbek, not Tatar, but being a cousin from the Golden Horde, the Uzbek words are really close to Tatar and easy to understand. The first time I heard people speaking Turkish, I thought, "These People don't know how to speak Tatar properly."

I also grew up knowing a man called, "Uzbek". Are all these people related to him?
