1740 Italian Map - Made in Amsterdam - Printed in Venice

Mille Grazie to our Italian friends, busy working away printing maps in Venice while others lounge in Canal Boats, tempted by Grapes and Chianti. Now I can say to Marco Polo, "Eh Paisano! You can see my house from here!"

I find the easiest technique of locating Tatar regions on old maps involves initially locating the Caspian and working my way upriver. (Everyone labels "the Caspian" with the same term, from what I can see) Here it's labeled "Mare Caspio".

The Italians have many foods that resemble Pilmeni. I have yet to see a regional food in Italy that is their version of Peremech.
