Marco Polo

This image is titled "Marco Polo in Tatar Costume". We know now that "Tatar" and "Tartare" were blanket terms applied to huge groups of people of Central Asia and beyond. It's a snazzy outfit nonetheless.

I work with a man named "Ron". He volunteers with me at the Breast-Cancer food bank. A few years ago, he visited Venice and stood before the home of Marco Polo. It's still there.
I told him , "I'd be ready to die after standing before something so awesome as that."

I suppose some people dream their entire life of seeing the Golden Gate Bridge.
