Are these depicted folks Crimean? Are these accurate? Why are they attributing Western characteristics to Tatars? This reminds me of images of "Tatars" that I've seen that look like the Three Musketeers. I've seen images labeled "Tatar or Tartare" from Central Europe all the way to China. Red Beards and Chinese Eyes. This lower image is of "Chinese and Tataren" Women. It has nothing to do with our culture.
